Hejira is a 7-piece band that now has a pool of 3 great singers to draw from: Hattie Whitehead, Jana Varga and Immy Churchill. Here, we present the highly-talented singer (and all-round musician), Immy Churchill, performing Joni Mitchell's hip and happening song, 'Be Cool'
Please note: Hattie is in no way being 'replaced'; rather, due to Hattie's commitments with other projects, there will be a certain number of shows that will require us to involve our alternative singers. We assure you that whoever is fronting the band, the magic will remain right up there!
'Be Cool' was originally released on Joni Mitchell's album, 'Wild Things Run Fast' and was later revisited on her incredible album, 'Travelogue' (featuring stunning orchestral arrangements by Vince Mendoza with contributions on that album from Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter and Brian Blade).
