Description
Written by Vincent Scotto with French lyrics by Jean Rodor in 1913 and English lyrics added by Dorcas Cochran in 1952, the song was published with both French and English lyrics. Recordings by both Eartha Kitt and Dean Martin charted in the UK in 1955. Though the song failed to chart in the US, both versions were subsequently released as LP album tracks. This has always been one of my favorite French waltzes. I hope you enjoy my interpretation.
