Having a go at this version of the crazy and wacky tune "City Nights" (written by Gary Husband) from Allan Holdsworts´s "Secrets" album originally featuring Vinnie Colaiuta.

Drums by yours truly.
All other instruments performed and arranged by Gary Husband.

It does require quite some action on the drums and to always know where you are and keeping the intensity up is very challenging. It has taken me a while to just learn the track and its form and then to just freely improvise over it is quite a challenge. Therefore there are several mistakes here but hey....here we are.

This soundtrack is taken from the inspirational and great video casts drum series from Gary Husband (who also wrote this tune), which really get deep down into how this track came to be and how it goes. Really worth checking out. So it is not the original album track I play along to.
