When it comes to guitar features in West Coast AOR music, Larry Carlton's "Kid Charlemagne" solo tends to get name-dropped the most. However, I'd like to draw your attention to a lesser-celebrated, but equally fantastic - and dare I say, More Rocking - solo by Maestro Carlton. This one is from Christopher Cross's "I Really Don't Know Anymore", off his smash hit self-titled debut LP.
