Here’s another tune I have uploaded before, but as I love the song so much I thought it was worth a decent digital transfer, so here it is in better audio quality. It was recorded in February 1938 and released on Decca in the US soon after. My copy is a UK issue on Brunswick, released as a B-side to You shall reap what you sow the same year. I’m not a huge fan of swing, but hot damn, this is really good! Lil was a jazz pianist and vocalist who was married to Louis Armstrong between 1924 and 1938, but they remained friends rest of their lives.
