Guitarist and Harmonicist Will Shade and his merry company were one of the most popular and influential Jug / String bands that proliferated around Memphis and Louisville, as well as the Mississippi Delta in the 1920s and 1930s. Among its members were musicians of the caliber of Furry Lewis, harmonica player Big Walter Horton and guitarist Will Weldon.
