NOTE: This tune is a Polish version of the American foxtrot ”Gather Lip Rouge While You May” from the Fox Movietone comedy “My Weakness” (1933) starred by Lew Ayres and a British/ German singer and actress Lilian Harvey.

In Polish version Adam Aston makes an attempt of performance in an “American” style” and is successfully accompanied by the best Polish big band of the swing era, directed by Henryk Wars. After the 2nd WW Henryk Wars emigrated to USA where he made a considerable career as film music composer (Wars composed music for The Flipper; 1963 and the Fools’ Parade; 1971, among others). Adam Aston, who before the 2nd WW was one of the most popular Polish crooners, after the 2nd WW lived in South Africa and later in London, UK where he died in 1993. He worked as manager in the beverages production and later the paper manufacture. He parted with his professional singing career, performing only occasionally for groups of his former fans. During the 2nd WW both artists: Henryk Wars and Adam Aston served in the Polish Army in exile being part of the Western Allied Forces and led by the Polish general Władysław Anders.
