This song written by Dave Bell was the title track of his Prince of Peace worship album produced by Word Music under the HeartCry Praise & Worship Series in 1996.

Dave Bell was my friend and pastor. He was an amazing musician songwriter with a heart after God. His goal in life was to immerse people in the presence of God so that they could be healed and reach their full potential in Christ.

Dave gave me my first worship leader and youth pastor position in 1999 at Destiny Church in San Antonio, Texas. I received the gift from God of prophetic songwriting and worship leading when he and my youth pastor, David Hartley, laid their hands on me as Pastor Rick Shearouse prophesied from God that I would write songs and lead worship like my hero, Dave Bell. Well, God was gracious to zap me from heaven that day as the presence of God enveloped me and I couldn’t hold back the tears of joy.

Since then, many Ted Thevaos songs have been written and I can’t stop singing Dave’s timeless songs either. His songs always usher me straight into the throne room of heaven, the holy of holies.

Dave went home to worship around the heavenly throne on Sunday morning, May 6, 2012. We’ll always remember the presence of God that we felt when he led worship. He’s inspired many of us up and coming Kingdom Psalmists to do as he did, reach our full potential of bringing the Heavenly Father’s beloved children into his loving presence.
