Description

Solo acoustic guitar version of Reuben's Train, filmed on an old rail trail not far from where I used to keep my horse years ago. Played live on a hot June day, surrounded by farmland, bugs, and the ghosts of passing freight. Filmed in one take, if you don't count the retakes I made when i got bit by a horsefly and a tractor passed by the trailhead.

Reuben's Train is a traditional folk/bluegrass tune with dozens of regional variations. My take leans into the high-tempo flatpicking tradition with a bit of dark, modal, spacey flair.
